Dr. Dan Visits Iron River During "100 in 100" Tour

Press Release

Date: July 6, 2012
Location: Traverse City, MI

Dr. Dan Benishek continued his "100 in 100" tour today by visiting a business in Menominee. During the "100 in 100" tour, Dr. Dan is visiting 100 local businesses in Northern Michigan in 100 days. He is meeting with business leaders to hear from them how Washington is affecting their businesses.

Today, Dr. Dan visited Global Response, a call center in Iron River.

"I used to own my medical practice so I know how much uncertain taxes, over regulation and increasing healthcare cost can hinder a business," said Dr. Dan. "Across the district during my "100 in 100' tour, business owners have been telling me how much Washington's poor policy decisions are preventing their success. The federal government should not hamper economic growth, but that is exactly what's happening."

"Businesses should not have to be afraid of what Washington is doing. The first step is a simpler tax code, so a business can better predict how much they will owe the government each year and not have to waste resources trying to predict their liability. We need Washington to better understand how their policies affect people here in Northern Michigan and that's why I am on my "100 in 100' tour."

By the end of today, Dr. Dan will have visited 90 businesses since his tour began on May 1st. To find out more about the Doctor's "100 in 100" tour and his small business plan, visit Benishek2012.com.
