Issue Position

Congress continues to ignore the cries of our neighbors and family members regarding the rising cost of energy; something must be done now. We have the resources and technology in America to cut our dependency on foreign energy. As your Congressman, I will advocate for and support responsible, safe alternatives to importing oil from foreign countries. I believe that we must explore the use of clean coal technology, fracturing, and other alternative sources that make sense for Americans. I support offshore oil drilling on the Outer Continental Shelf, oil shale, and drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). As your Congressman I will support you by advocating and supporting America's energy independence.
