Issue Position

I have been an ardent supporter of health care reform and have joined other states in support of the federal government's efforts to ensure that the citizens of Vermont have access to quality and affordable health care. My office will work with the Board of Green Mountain Care to see that the health insurance exchange will be a fair and competitive market. If the Board proceeds, as planned, to institute a single payer health system, my office will assist them to safeguard the public's interests and make sure that the ultimate single payer system withstands legal challenge.
