Crime in Stockton and San Joaquin County is too high and unacceptable -The State government must insure that local government has the resources to keep our community safe. I would oppose efforts to put more state prisoners in our local jails until we actually have the money to put these folks behind bars. Operation Gate Way, the gang sweep recently conducted in Tracy is good example of collaborative work with multiple law enforcement agencies to address our crime issues- support from the State is essential in these actions.
