Arizona should have a world-class education system that attracts the best and brightest teachers and students and creates a first rate culture of learning. We can accomplish this but we have to do things differently and be willing to think outside the box. First and foremost, we should always put students first, not administrators. By infusing market-based principles into our education system we can improve teacher quality and student achievement. Contrary to what many believe, this is not a function of more money. It requires a new way of thinking and the courage to execute. Our future depends on our success in education.
