Issue Position

President Obama's health care reform took the first steps towards the delivery of significant health care benefits ad coverage for a larger segment of the American people. As a result, there have been clear advantages and benefits, which did not exist before.

We all must be thankful that the health care debate has moved in the direction of access to more than 30 million American who were not covered by any insurance prior to this health care reform plan. In addition to this extraordinary inclusion of individuals excluded from health insurance, there many other legislative achievements that Americans support and I am certain will become part of the health care debate next year, in Congress. Among the most significant achievements we find:

Expansion health care access to 30 million Americans.
Increase coverage for pre-existing conditions which forbids an insurance plane from dropping any one because of a prior health risk condition
Medicaid expansion for low income families at 133% of poverty levels along with CHIP coverage
Establishing insurances exchanges

Republicans have consistently attacked the President's health plan and its achievements. Very soon, the US Supreme Court will be rendering a decision on the Constitutional challenges brought about by pro-republican state governments. No matter how the Supreme Court will ultimately decides there are and will be specific outcomes that most Americans want:.

- Americans want health care costs to be brought under control without sacrificing quality.

And that will be my commitment. I believe that insurance costs for the American family still are very expensive . Polls suggests, that at present a vast majority of Americans want us to come up with a better plan. (3/4 of Americans polled..)

- I will also defend Senior citizens- Medicare and Social Security benefits. They earned this right. They paid for this right. Of course I am for fighting against excesses and fraud but I will fight to protect the rights of Seniors to their health coverages.
