Issue Position

One problem in our criminal system is the lengthy delays in cases of those convicted of capital crimes. Of course, everyone convicted of any crime deserves the right of appeal, but endless appeals which delay execution for decades need priority attention. I will work with the Attorney General of Alabama to ensure that those convicted of capital crimes are properly punished within a reasonable time after conviction.
