Issue Position: INCREASE VETERAN BENEFITS

Douglas MacArthur in one of HIS fairwell speech stated " DUTY....HONOR....COUNTRY"

One of my initial Legislative Acts will be to introduce a Bill that AWARDS EVERY COMBAT-DISABLED VETERAN A TWO-BEDROOM, SINGLE FAMILY HOME OR CONDO, A ONE-TIME "VALOR AWARD" OF $100,000 U.S. DOLLARS, in respect for their RISKING THEIR LIVES FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND COUNTRY

IT IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO TO SHOW OUR APPRECIATION!

The Veteran's Administration work very hard to accomodate the American Veteran, however there seem to be redundant departments, and this makes for redundant salaries and benefits for VA Employees. At the same time, the Veteran who is typically Disabled, cannot get the healthcare they need, especially with Hospital Bed Space being insufficient. I know, I experienced it.

In addition, the process for filing a Disability Claim from a Combat situation is HORRENDOUS AND TAKES MONTHS, SOMETIMES YEARS TO RESOLVE. In the meantime, the VETERAN SUFFERS PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY.

THIS MUST CHANGE. IT IS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE OUR CONGRESS AND SENATE AND WHITE HOUSE OCCUPANTS DO THEIR BEST FOR OUR VETERANS.......NOT JUST RHETORIC AND DELAY, DELAY, DELAY......
