Issue Position

Public safety has been my life's work. And I've always believed the primary purpose of people banning together and establishing governments is to provide for the common protection of its citizens. Generally speaking, at the federal level that applies to the armed forces protecting us from foreign threats. But the constitution explicitly states that the power of the police lies with the states. I have many years of experience in the military and in domestic law enforcement. There is no reason why people should have to live in fear for themselves, their families or the loss or damage of their property. My work is this area is well documented and I will continue to advocate on behalf of a law-abiding safe society irrespective of whether or not I'm elected to public office. However, if elected I will have a new opportunity to advocate on behalf of our citizens in a very public forum that has the ability to make changes.
