Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07), co-chair of the Congressional Olympic and Paralympic Caucus, issued the following statement concerning news that the US Olympic Team's uniforms are made in China rather than the United States:
"The bottom line is if we make it in America, we will make it in America. As representatives of the United States of America in the most historic athletic competitions in the world, our U.S. Olympic team members should be wearing uniforms manufactured right here at home. To continue our economic recovery and ensure we have an economy built to last, we have to make things here in our country again. These are jobs and products we can and should make here and not outsource them overseas."
