Parents are in the best position to know what educational opportunities are ideally suited for their children. We must constantly strive to challenge, expand and improve the education of our children, including private, public and charter schools. Children should be challenged throughout the year, not just programmed to perform well on a single test.
Teachers deserve our support, and that includes making sure that the State never raids the Teacher's Retirement Fund to pay for other projects.
Our education system needs to be practical and useful for all students, including those that make the choice not to go to college immediately after graduating. Our schools should teach not only academics, but also practical job skills that make our students marketable on graduation day.
