Education is also an important issue facing Michigan. Since Rick Snyder has been governor, funding for education has been slashed significantly, costing educators, staff and students the opportunity for a better education and working environment. The governor has used some slippery tactics in order to achieve education cuts, so as a representative, if elected, the task at hand is to stop the bleeding. Only then can we begin to rebuild Michigan's educational system. It matters when Lansing makes cuts to education, and the state's economy suffers when the proper investments in the future aren't made.
