Today, Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement in honor of Independence Day:
"I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day. As we celebrate with our families, friends, and communities, we should reflect on what it means to be an American. We should take pride in the values and principles that have made us the great nation we are.
"I also ask you to join me in praying for the men and women of our military who are apart from their loved ones today. It is their commitment which makes America a beacon of liberty to the rest of the world."
