Issue Position

I am a firm believer that "a rising tide lifts all boats." The vitality and strength of our local businesses depend in large part on the collective strength of our local economy. We must continue to support efforts to recruit new business and industry, but it is just as important to support local businesses that have already invested in our community. We can accomplish both goals by working to reduce the mountains of state regulation that our local businesses must deal with, keeping taxes low, and ensuring that we have a well trained and educated workforce. I will work to increase funding for job training at Three Rivers Community College, and I will support incentives for businesses who provide tuition assistance to their employees.
