WKTV News - Statement from Congressman Hanna on President's Visit to Albany

Location: Unknown

A statement issued by Congressman Richard Hanna on the President's visit to Albany on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

"It's always a privilege to welcome the President to upstate New York. I'm pleased that President Obama recognizes the potential for high-tech jobs in our region offered by great colleges coupled with our strong workforce. Unfortunately, plans to attract a high-tech manufacturer in the Mohawk Valley are being stymied by bureaucratic red tape.

"New Yorkers on both sides of the aisle have urged the President to help remove barriers to job creation by having his Administration approve a clean permit for the Marcy site. I am hopeful that after seeing the great work being done here, the President will put words into action and help us build up our 21st century workforce in the Mohawk Valley."
