Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement in recognition of Independence Day.

"Today we are reminded that the Fourth of July is a not only an inspiring symbol of America's independence, but of our nation's strength and unity. This celebration is a time to remember and thank America's brave veterans and all men and women in uniform who have fought tirelessly to protect and preserve the very freedom afforded to us by our Founding Fathers. As Nevadans all across the Silver State gather with family and friends to celebrate America's birth, let us reflect on our nation's path to independence and the liberties we enjoy because of generations of brave patriots," said Senator Dean Heller.
