Issues: Taxes

Having worked since the age of 7, I understand the value of a hard earned dollar. As an American, I understand the importance of paying taxes to receive necessary services that only the government can provide. That said, I get teary eyed when I look at my check every week and realize how much the government has taken, and how little I have received in return. This is one issue that keeps me up at night, thinking about the fact that some of my neighbors must decide between putting food on the table for their children, or making sure that their children have shoes on their feet.

Taxes need to be cut responsibly for all American's. Not only do individuals need tax relief, businesses need it as well. In order to hire workers, businesses need to have money to pay them. Taxing businesses, eliminates funds that would be available to pay for new employees. By reducing the size of the federal government, we can cut spending to accommodate the necessary tax breaks.

As your Congressman, I will fight to let you keep as much of your paycheck, and reduce the amount you owe to the federal government. For businesses I will vote against policy that makes it difficult for you to hire American workers.
