Issue Position

"I am committed to furthering our nation's energy independence efforts in a safe and responsible fashion and I pledge to support all efforts to increase our domestic energy production while focusing on making our current systems, structures, and processes more efficient."

Energy Independence for America is without question within our grasp. I believe that the Department of Energy needs to be restructured and solely focused on making the United Stated energy independent. To that end, we must open up drilling operations in Alaska, the Continental Shelf, and the Mid-West. We must focus on the enormous opportunities and energy potential of Natural Gas with the Marcellus Shale Program and the Keystone Pipeline. We must also continue to explore and develop alternative energy sources, while at the same time, we must look at refurbishing our current systems and focus efforts on energy efficiencies.
