Kingston Earns 'Friend of Freedom Award'

Press Release

Location: Washington, DC

In recognition of his conservative, pro-growth voting record, Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA) has been awarded the "Friend of Freedom Award" from the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

"In order to restore America's greatness, it is imperative that we have leaders who support public policy that protects the foundational building blocks of our society and limits the size of government," said Gary Marx, executive director of Faith and Freedom Coalition. "We are proud to call Jack Kingston a friend of freedom thanks to his strong voting record in the U.S. House of Representatives."

According to the Coalition, recipients are chosen based on consistent leadership on tough votes and commitment to upholding founding principles like limited government, the sanctity of life and marriage, religious freedom, and lowering the tax burden on American families.

Accepting the award, Kingston pledged his continued commitment to the values for which he earned it.

"The principles on which our government was founded are the very principles that will renew America," said Kingston. "We do not need to expand government, we need to check its growth and limit its interference in our lives. I am honored by Faith and Freedom Coalition's recognition and commend them for their efforts toward our shared goals."

Faith and Freedom Coalition was founded by Ralph Reed in 2009 to mobilize conservatives, people of faith and their families to be effective citizens, impacting public policy in a positive direction consistent with the time-honored values on which our nation was founded.
