Congressman Sam Farr (D-Carmel) released the following statement after the Supreme Court announced their decision on the Affordable Care Act:

"America's health is safe today thanks to the Supreme Court's ruling upholding the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act. This is a win for the American people because now no one will have to go without health insurance. And it is a win because we can finally begin to bend the health care cost curve down.

"Since the beginning this law has been about common sense approaches to address the problems in our health care system. This ruling means that young adults can stay on their parents' policies; coverage can no longer be revoked because of a lifetime cap; and no one will be denied insurance because of preexisting condition.

"This ruling from the Supreme Court ends a lengthy and bitter legal battle. Millions of American families can breathe easier knowing that access to quality, affordable health care is still the law of the land."
