Issue Position

Today, there is no cap on the value of gifts, event tickets, meals, or even vacation style trips that a lobbyist can purchase for a legislator. We can do better. We need to put an end to influence peddling in Georgia. This ugly practice of pay to play must stop, therefore, I will never accept any gift from a lobbyist. This higher personal standard should be the least we can ask of our elected officials, and can be accomplished immediately simply by choosing someone that won't allow someone to buy them these gifts.
