Life is a very personal issue to me. When Kara and I moved back to St. Charles County, we knew that we were ready to settle down and raise a family. After numerous months of frustration, pain, and prayer, Kara has been able to carry our child through the first eight months and we cannot wait for our little bundle of joy to arrive in mid-July 2012. I can tell you that after our experience of having false hope at least once, an unborn child is a delicate and precious being that should not be taken for granted or considered a choice. The first time I saw the ultrasound, there was no doubt in my mind that what I was seeing was a life. In the House, I will work to make sure that we respect the unborn and treat life with the dignity deserved by every human being. Furthermore, unlike my opponent, my first vote will be to elect a pro-life Speaker of the House.
