Putting Utah's back to work is the biggest issue facing our State. Utah is doing better than nearly every other State, bur we can improve. There are numerous reforms we can, and must do to promote prosperity for the families and businesses of our State. First, it is not the role of government to create jobs. We must empower the individual by eliminating government red tape that is hampering the development and growth of jobs. Second, we need to continue to the push for tax reform. Lowering taxes will allow for greater business growth and more business investment in expansion. That will create more jobs than any stimulus plan promoted by government. Finally, we need to promote the opportunities provided by great colleges, universities and technical colleges located in Utah and provide incentives for welfare-eligible individuals to choose employment over government programs. I will continue to help lead the charge for further Utah's position as a national leader in economic growth.
