Senate Should Reject "Roe v. Wade Architect"

Location: Unknown

On Monday, the U.S. Senate will consider confirmation of Andrew Hurwitz for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Hurwitz is not a name most Americans know, but it should be. And that's exactly why his nomination should be rejected.
Hurwitz has claimed credit for the deeply flawed reasoning of Roe v. Wade, because as a law clerk he wrote much of two pro-abortion decisions relied on by the Supreme Court in that shameful decision. My friend Ed Whalen explains here:

To this day, Hurwitz is proud of his work on behalf of the pro-abortion cause.
There is no right more fundamental than the right to life, and we must protect that at every stage, from conception to natural death. We must support judicial nominees who strictly interpret the Constitution, and reject those, like Hurwitz, who advance radical agendas hostile to the pro-life cause. I'm calling on the U.S. Senate to reject Hurwitz and send this nomination back.

The right to life is precious, and we must fight to defend it every day. We need to defeat Barack Obama's liberal activist judicial nominees. This is a crucial moment in our history, and in the battle for life. We must elect leaders to the U.S. Senate who will lead the fight for life, not undermine it.
