Jobs--Let's Get Washington Working
Let's Get Washington Working is a plan that unshackles businesses from excessive regulations. Private employers in many sectors of Washington State are bound with exorbitant taxes and fees that hinder economic growth and progress. Let's Get Washington Working would promote a free market economy, allowing employers to prosper and create jobs. Here are some examples of bills included in Let's Get Washington Working--
#B1961--Requires a permit decision in 90 days.
#B1125--Recognizes Hydro Power as renewable.
#B2276--Enacts major regulatory reforms.
#B1671 -- Requires state agencies to determine if a new rule would have an economic impact on jobs before adopting the rule.
#B1592--Suspend GMA in counties with 7% unemployment for three consecutive months.
When Americans have jobs and are working we spend money. The taxes collected from money spent goes to the State General Fund. This fund provides for core services of government such as education, public safety and programs to help children and the elderly.
This last legislative session, the majority party set these bills aside in order to pass their priority legislation of social issues, such as Same Sex Marriage.
