Bob Goodlatte, Republican candidate and current representative for Virginia's 6th Congressional District, received the endorsement from the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) earlier last week.

"On behalf of our four million members nationwide, the NRA-PVF is proud to endorse you for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives from Virginia's 6th Congressional District in the upcoming June 12th Republican primary," said James Baker, Director of Federal Affairs for the NRA-PVF. "Thank you for your unwavering support of the Second Amendment."

Goodlatte also received an "A" rating for his solid and consistent pro-gun voting record in Congress.

The National Rifle Association is the most well-known organization of its kind that advocates for the protection of the Second Amendment, as well as the promotion of firearm ownership rights, marksmanship, firearm safety, and the protection of hunting and self-defense in the United States.

"I am honored to receive this endorsement," said Goodlatte. "Congress must continue fighting to preserve gun ownership rights protected by the Second Amendment. I intend on doing just that."
