Issue Position

Dean is a strong supporter of the state of Israel and believes that the United States must provide staunch and endearing political support for Israel. Violence against Israel committed by extremist groups is relentless, and demonstrates the need for the United States to provide security assistance to our friend and ally. Israel is the front line in the struggle between free, Western societies and violent extremists like al-Qaeda, the Taliban, the Iranian regime, Hezbollah and Hamas. The same extremists, who seek Israel's destruction, also seek the destruction of the United States.

As a former member of the House Republican Israel Caucus, Dean has advocated for U.S. assistance for Israel so that it has the ability to defend itself. Dean also continues his mission to prevent Iran from its dangerous pursuit of weapons of mass destruction though U.S. and international sanctions. Dean has and will continue to push both Democrat and Republican Administrations to further improve our critical alliance which will enrich the lives of American and Israeli citizens.
