Gov. Jack Dalrymple today announced that he will host a Governor's Pipeline Summit Thursday, June 14 at the National Energy Center of Excellence on the campus of Bismarck State College. The Governor will bring together key industry leaders and officials to discuss North Dakota's current oil and natural gas transportation landscape and provide an update on proposed pipeline developments and opportunities.
Industry leaders representing Enbridge, ONEOK, Plains All American Pipeline, Bridger/Belle Fourche Pipelines, TransCanada, Saddle Butte Pipeline, Alliance Pipeline and WBI Energy will discuss their plans for developing additional gathering and transmission pipelines in North Dakota. Justin Kringstad with the North Dakota Pipeline Authority and other state and local officials will provide information regarding North Dakota's current and future pipeline development plans.
"Increasing North Dakota's pipeline capacity is important as we continue to grow the state's energy industry and address the impacts of oil and natural gas production," Dalrymple said. "By developing additional gathering and transmission pipelines, we can ship more oil and natural gas from North Dakota to markets outside the Midwest and reduce the impact on communities and roadways in western North Dakota."
For those unable to attend in person, the summit will be available via video stream at www.governor.nd.gov. For more information, please contact Justin Kringstad at 701.220.6227.
