Issue Position: Governmental Decision Making

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2012

These days our elected officials seem less relevant than ever before. It's not the people whom you've elected who are making the big decisions: it's unelected staff members who are doing this, working through agendas that are undisclosed to the public. On what, exactly, may we rely to be sure that these unelected decision makers are working in our best interests? That they support the Constitution rather than, say, socialism? I'll tell what we may NOT rely upon, and that's political due process and informed public discussion. Elect me and I'll support and promote a strict vetting process as to who is hired as staff.
