Bob Menendez stood up to Big Oil, and is leading the effort to repeal billions of dollars in tax subsidies and close loopholes for oil companies, who are raking in record profits while New Jerseyans struggle to afford filling up their tanks.

Bob's plan to lessen our dependence on foreign oil includes improving the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, establishing a market for vehicles powered by electricity or natural gas and expanding sensible transit options. This plan will save drivers over $600 million per day in petroleum fuel costs by 2030.

Created the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program- providing New Jersey communities $75 million to help reduce energy use or produce renewable energy.

Cosponsored legislation requiring 25% of our electricity to come from renewable sources by 2025.
