Salem County Republicans Endorse Joe Kyrillos for U.S. Senate at their Key Dinner in Pennsville
Today, Salem County Republican Chairman Mike Facemyer, on behalf of himself and the Executive Committee, officially endorsed Joe Kyrillos for U.S. Senate. The endorsement was announced before Senator Kyrillos addressed the Salem County Republicans at their Key Dinner in Pennsville.
Chairman Mike Facemyer said, "Joe embodies the type of legislator we need representing us in the United States Senate. The initiatives he has championed along with Governor Christie have helped bring our state back to financial solvency. He has all the qualities that his opponent, Democrat incumbent Bob Menendez doesn't. I have known Joe for many years; he is a man of honesty and integrity with a tireless work ethic. Joe understands Salem County. I pledge, on behalf of the Salem County Republicans, to do all that we can in the coming months to send Joe Kyrillos to Washington."
Senator Kyrillos said, "I am honored to have the support of the Salem County Republicans in my race to defeat Bob Menendez. The future of our state and our nation is at stake in this election. For the first time in the history of our country, the American dream is not secure. Unlike Menendez, I will not hide from tough decisions. I will fight to bring the conservative fiscal policies we've established here at home to Washington. I will fight against tax increases on middle income families and small businesses. The momentum for my campaign is building, and I am excited to continue traveling this great state and earning support."
Kyrillos has also been endorsed by Governor Chris Christie, and the Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Union County Republican Organizations.
Senator Joseph M. Kyrillos, Jr., 51, is married to Susan Doctorian Kyrillos and they live in Middletown with their children Max and Georgia. He began serving New Jersey's 13th Legislative District in 1988 when he was elected to the General Assembly. After spending two terms in the Assembly he was elected to the Senate where he has served since 1993. In addition to his official duties, the Senator is employed as Senior Managing Director of Colliers International, the commercial real estate services firm with offices in New York and Parsippany. He is also an advisor to the Newport Capital Group in Red Bank, NJ.
