"We need health care reform. We do not need a government takeover of the entire health care system. President Obama's health care bill will destroy the greatest system of care in the world by giving bureaucrats control of decisions that should remain between patient and doctor." -- Bobby Schilling
Bobby voted to repeal President Obama's health care overhaul, arguing that the law will cost millions of jobs, add $700 billion to the deficit, and do nothing to prevent skyrocketing medical costs.
Bobby also fought alongside Members of Congress from both parties and both Houses to repeal the health care bill's 1099 reporting requirements, which would have forced job creators to expend money and resources to file burdensome, unnecessary paperwork. The repeal legislation overwhelmingly passed both the House and the Senate.
Bobby understands the importance of enacting health care reform. Bobby supports "repeal and replace," maintaining that effective health care reform legislation is badly needed. Bobby supports a Republican alternative plan to enact free market reforms that would cut medical costs and increase access for all Americans while reducing the deficit by $540 billion and taxes by $770 billion over ten years.
