As the daughter of a World War II Army Veteran, I believe in a strong commitment to America's defense both at home and abroad. In a world with such multidimensional threats, American cannot afford to let our collective guard down.

We must double-down on our commitment to the innovative hard work being performed by the men and women of our Armed Services.

In particular, Congressional District 2 is blessed to host Aberdeen Providing Ground, Fort Meade and the National Security Agency, Warfield Air National Guard Base, home base of the Maryland Air National Guard 175th Wing at Martin State Airport and scores of defense and intelligence-related contractors.

These men and women not only risk their lives on behalf of Americans, but they are a vital first line of defense to our nation and are an important part of the economic engine of Maryland.
