Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) recently received a perfect score on the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund Conservation Report Card for the 1st Session of the 112th Congress. Congressman Cohen was the only member of the Tennessee Congressional delegation to receive a perfect score.
"It is an honor to be recognized by the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund for my work on conservation issues," said Congressman Cohen, a longtime supporter of wildlife and conservation efforts on the state and national levels. "It is important that we protect wildlife and wild places for future generations to enjoy. As long as I am in Congress I will continue to fight for wildlife and conservation."
The Conservation Report Card measures the commitment of U.S. Senators and Representatives to wildlife and habitat conservation during each Congressional session. It reviews both House and Senate votes on key conservation issues, providing a clear assessment of how well members of Congress are doing to protect wildlife and wild lands for future generations. The Report Card is an important resource constituents can use to examine their elected representatives' efforts to conserve our nation's natural heritage for our children and grandchildren.
