Congresswoman Biggert may spend her Memorial Day weekend trying to hide her poor record on Veterans, but her real record shows disregard for the military families and veterans, who fought for our country. In 2005, she even voted against job training programs for soldiers returning from combat.

Flashback 2005: Even though she voted to support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Congresswoman Biggert voted against a motion to expand job training programs to provide extra assistance for veterans returning from the conflicts overseas.

"Those who put their lives on the line for us need to be our first priority," said Bill Foster. "As many as four in ten members of the National Guard and Reserves lose income when they leave their civilian job to enter combat. The least we can do for these returning service men and women and provide the job training and assistance they need to build their careers."
