Congressman Jeff Fortenberry Endorses Deb Fischer for U.S. Senate

Today, Senator Deb Fischer announced the endorsement of her U.S. Senate campaign by U.S. Congressman Jeff Fortenberry, a Republican who represents Nebraska's 1st Congressional District.

"You know Washington can be a pretty tough place to do business, and a lot of Nebraskans are asking me, "who I am going to support in the upcoming race for United States Senate?' I am here to tell you that I'm going to support Deb Fischer. Deb Fischer was trained as an educator. She is a wife and mother. And she is a rancher. Deb Fischer is a very capable state legislator. And throughout this campaign I have not heard her utter one single negative phrase. I think Deb Fischer will bring principled leadership to Washington and work in a constructive manner and that is what America needs," said Congressman Fortenberry.

Congressman Fortenberry's endorsement adds to the powerful momentum of the Fischer campaign. Yesterday, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin endorsed Deb Fischer. On Monday, Fischer's campaign released a survey showing the race a statistical dead heat.

Over the years, I have admired his conservative leadership and tireless work ethic for his constituents," said Senator Deb Fischer.
