The senior senator from North Carolina said today that Congressman Howard Coble deserves another term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) said that he is urging all Republicans in the 6th District to vote for Howard Coble on May 8.

Senator Burr, who previously served in the U.S. House with Congressman Coble, said he was pleased to endorse Coble for another term. "I am proud to endorse Congressman Howard Coble for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives, Senator Burr stated. "Howard's dedication to the families and individuals he represents in the 6th District is unmatched in Congress, and his experience is a real asset to his district, his state, and his country. Howard has served as a tireless advocate for his constituents, and I know he will continue to represent the new 6th District with the same enthusiasm and devotion that has defined his career thus far."

Congressman Coble said he was honored to receive Senator Burr's endorsement. "From his first day in Washington," Rep. Coble said, "Richard Burr became a leader on Capitol Hill. He also became a good friend. His word carries much weight in both North Carolina and Washington, so to receive his endorsement is a real honor. I am pleased that he has joined Congresswoman Virginia Foxx in endorsing our reelection."

Senator Burr was the special guest on Saturday, April 14th, in Eden when he endorsed Congressman Coble to a large group of Rockingham County Republicans.
