Perverse Incentives

As you probably know, the Administration's health law was supposed to provide incentives for employers to offer affordable health coverage. But this week, new reports confirmed that the opposite is true. A survey of Fortune 100 companies revealed that many companies could actually save money by dropping health benefits and paying the $2,000 per employee penalty instead, threatening the health coverage that many enjoy today.
