Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement on the President's announcement on the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the United States and Afghanistan.

"This long-term strategic agreement begins a new stage for the United States and Afghanistan, and I look forward to examining the details of this plan. Our military men and women have made great sacrifices for our country. I want to personally thank the members of the Armed Forces and their families for the sacrifices they have made for our great nation. As we look towards withdrawing our combat forces in Afghanistan, we should take a moment to honor and remember those who lost their lives in this war. Our nation owes you a great debt of gratitude," said Senator Dean Heller.
