Sanchez Comments on Alarming Social Security Trust Fund Report

Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-47) today released the following statement in response to today's report by the Board of Trustees of the Social Security Trust Fund, showing that Social Security will be exhausted three years earlier than anticipated.

"The time to put politics aside is now," said Sanchez. "Congress must put party lines aside and take immediate action to preserve the solvency of this fundamental program. We owe it to the American people, who rightly expect their lawmakers to make tough decisions and solve this urgent problem."
