It's long past time to close the borders to those who refuse to follow the rules. We need a "get tough" approach to the illegal immigration problem facing our nation. America can't afford to be the foster parents for the world's indigent or the halfway house for those who have no respect for our laws.

Law enforcement must be "freed", empowered, and encouraged to arrest and detain illegal immigrants. It's a constitutional mandate…and it's about time we adhere to it! The Federal government has to turn off the spigot on social programs for those who cannot prove their citizenship.

While many of us are direct descendants of immigrants throughout the world, our parents and grandparents abides by the policies in place and worked for every nickel they made. To keep America solvent we have to make sure newcomers enter this country the same way so many of our relatives-legally.
