Congressman Bill Shuster issued the following statement on the Obama Administration's decision to reject the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline:
"Within days of announcing initiatives to stream-line government and make insourcing American jobs a priority, President Obama has inexplicably rejected the permits for the Keystone Pipeline. This project would create at least 20,000 jobs and is an important step on a path for American energy independence.
This is yet another example of this Administration's lofty rhetoric failing to meet reality and this President's willingness to hold American jobs and opportunity hostage to political games. What makes for good politics for this President and his extreme environmentalist base makes for terrible policies for the millions of Americans still looking for work in the Obama economy."
