Congressman Cantor Discusses National Financial Literacy Month with Hermitage High School Students

Press Release

Location: Richmond, VA

Today, Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) spoke with Hermitage High School students about the importance of personal finance.

Congressman Cantor said, "I had a great conversation today with the students at Hermitage High School about the importance of financial planning and saving. In Washington, we've seen the consequences of what happens when you continue to spend money you don't have. Students preparing for college and entering the workforce can make a difference in their future by developing a responsible financial plan today. In Washington, we need a plan to address our budget shortfall. I will continue to work to promote fiscal discipline and economic opportunity."

Hermitage High School Principal Omega Wilson added, "We are grateful to have Congressman Cantor visit Hermitage High School to discuss the importance of financial literacy and to share real life lessons with our students. We take seriously the responsibility of giving our students the knowledge and foundation to help them become financially responsible and informed adults."
