Issue Position

Ensuring that our children have access to a broad and thorough education is the most important responsibility we have as a society. I believe it is absolutely immoral to place the burden of large amounts of debt on the backs of our youth. And despite all the challenges we're facing in Nevada, I am optimistic for the future because of the talent, intelligence, and energy of the next generation.

Unfortunately, as students leave college, they are increasingly saddled with enormous debt from sky-rocketing tuition costs as they look for careers in an economy that has been crippled by years and years of irresponsibility in Washington. It is our responsibility to help ease the burden by providing fair loan payment programs, increased financial aid packages, and real loan forgiveness policies.
