Congressman John Kline issued the following statement today after supporting bipartisan legsislation, H.R. 5, the "Protecting Access to Health Care Act," which repeals ObamaCare's Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB):
"On the day before the second anniversary of ObamaCare, I was pleased to join a bipartisan majority in repealing the President's Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), the 15-person board of unelected and accountable bureaucrats empowered under ObamaCare to threaten seniors' access to health care. This legislation will restore decision-making power to patients and their doctors and is an essential step toward protecting Americans from ObamaCare's devastating consequences.
"Today's bipartisan effort marks the 26th time this House has voted to repeal, defund, or dismantle ObamaCare. It is incumbent upon the U.S. Senate to listen to the will of the American people and join us for patients and their families."
