Stabenow, Levin Announce Support for Livonia Fire and Rescue Department

U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin today announced support for the Livonia Fire & Rescue department. The grants come through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The grants will be used to help address specific equipment, training, staffing, and other EMS related needs.

Senator Stabenow said, "Our firefighters provide invaluable, courageous service to communities like Livonia across Southeast Michigan. They deserve the best training and equipment to perform their duties safely."

"Our emergency first-responders do so much for us. We should make sure they have our full support, and this grant helps meet our responsibility to them," said Senator Levin.
