Taxes are excessively imposed and the money is unwisely spent. I want to reduce taxes while fighting to pass the FairTax! The need for such high federal revenue would be dramatically decreased if we returned the powers granted to the states by the Constitution.

Income tax was not used to fund the federal government for the first 86 years of our country. It was imposed for 51 years without being permitted by the Constitution until the 16th amendment was ratified in 1913.
