U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced today that Gov. Jack Dalrymple (R-ND) will deliver the weekly Republican address on Saturday.
"Jack Dalrymple is doing a great job as governor of North Dakota and I'm pleased to announce that he will deliver the Republican Weekly Address on Saturday," said Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. "He's brought North Dakota's unemployment rate down to 3.2 percent, the lowest in the nation, and pushed through tax cuts that have provided over $500 million in relief. As the governor of a major energy-producing state, Gov. Dalrymple understands the link between American energy security and job growth."
Governor Dalrymple said: "Our commitment to job growth and infrastructure, combined with our careful state fiscal management, has made North Dakota the leader in the nation in most economic surveys. Now, we are able to use our budget surpluses to make long term investments in our quality of life. I continue to tell Presidential candidates that they should look to North Dakota as a blueprint for the nation."
Jack Dalrymple, who was sworn in as the 32nd governor of North Dakota on December 7, 2010, has worked to grow and diversify North Dakota's economy and create good jobs and economic opportunities for its citizens.
