Issue Position

The US Congress is supposed to be a government "of the people, by the people, and for the people". Unfortunately, this is no longer the case for many of our representatives. There's nothing wrong with being wealthy, but many of our representatives -- including Congresswoman Pingree - masquerade as part of the middle class when in reality they are part of the "elite" that they spend much of their time and rhetoric vilifying. A state like Maine deserves a representative in Congress who truly does understand the value of hard work, a balanced budget, and telling people the truth.
