Americans Deserve Better than Obama's Failed Policies

Congressman Jeff Landry (R, LA-03) issued the following statement regarding today's Congressional Budget Office (CBO) announcement that the federal budget deficit will top $1 trillion for a fourth straight year:

"Today's CBO report predicting a nearly $1.1 trillion gap between government spending and tax collections for 2012 is further confirmation that the president's failed policies do not work. Today's report highlights what America already knows: Washington has an addiction to spending and the President and Washington politicians in Congress are not willing to cure it. For four straight years, the President and Washington politicians have lead America down an horrific, unacceptable trend of bailouts, government takeovers, and debt increases. It is obvious that America needs to elect Congressmen who are truly willing to stand up and fight for to reduce the debt not those who just talk about it in press releases."
